Key ingredients we have used are:
• Vitamin C (Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate) - known to improve the look of an uneven skin tone and antioxidant benefits.
• Niacinamide - helps visibly reduce enlarged pores, improve uneven/dull skin tone, and strengthen a weakened skin barrier. Also known for its skin lightening properties.
• Licorice Root Extract – offers skin-soothing properties and shows efficacy in improving the look of an uneven skin tone.
Scientific evidence:
Study described by Kameyama, K. in J. Am. Acad. Dermatol. 1996, showed that Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate is absorbed by skin tissues and inhibits tyrosinase activity of melanocytes (enzyme involved in melanin synthesis), resulting in reduction in pigmentation.
Study conducted by Patricia M. and at. (Skin Research and Technology 2008; 14) Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate showed significant effects in improving skin hydration, which is very important for normal cutaneous metabolism and also to prevent skin alterations and early ageing.
